About the Mayor
The Mayor devotes much of his time to ensuring that all the ordinances of the city are appropriately enforced, respected and observed, presiding at all city council meetings, and generally performs the things which are assigned by the laws of the state and City of Atlanta ordinances. The mayor does not vote, except in the case of a tie. The mayor receives an annual salary of $9,000.
