Park District Community House (formerly Atlanta-Eminence Memorial Building)The wheelchair accessible Community House contains a memorial for World War I and II veterans that served from the Atlanta and Eminence Communities.
It offers large and small meeting rooms, a lounge, restrooms, and a kitchen. Just behind the Community House is a building that we affectionately call the "Barn." It is a popular reunion spot in the summer, because of its large screened-in area with tables and separate kitchen facilities. It also has public restrooms. Contact the Atlanta Park District to reserve the building.

Route 66 ParkTake a walk through mementos of the past, featuring the Atlanta Fair, the Atlanta high Schools, and the Knights of Pythias. A favorite stop within the park is the working “bubbler” water fountain from the 1930s. Feeling adventurous? Take a sip from it!
On the outside of the park wall, you will find “Route 66 Reimagined,” artistic interpretations of the iconic Route 66 shields from a 2012 art contest. View them, then take a selfie with your favorite and tag us (@visitatlantail).

Xenia ParkThis beautiful open green space with benches to relax on is named in memory of Atlanta’s first name, Xenia. You’ll find the park on the 1926-1970 alignment of Route 66, next door to the Route 66 Memories Museum [link to info elsewhere on the website]. While you’re there, be sure to locate the “Looking for Lincoln” interpretive panel with information about Atlanta’s role in the 1860s Wide-Awake movement.
