Coal Mine Open for Public Preview

The City of Atlanta would like to invite you to preview our brand new "Atlanta Coal Mining Company Historical Mine" exhibit! The exhibit will be open to the public on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. for local residents to experience. Visitors will be able to look down into the mine shaft, see artifacts retrieved, and learn the history of coal mining in Atlanta.
